Ambagasdowa is an estates in Uva, Sri Lanka. In Uva, wind blows strong with bright sunshine throughout the morning and the plantations are blessed with light evening showers that help produce fine quality teas with pleasing aroma and flavor with tones of menthol and eucalyptus naturally present in teas produced in this region.
Pekoe Tea is a fine grade of tea which includes young tea leaves and buds. The tea once handled and brewed has "a rich forest-like scent with a hint of bitterness and a sweet finish." Despite a purported Chinese origin, these grading terms are typically used for teas from Sri Lanka, India and countries other than China; they are not generally known within Chinese-speaking countries.

Lover's Leap is named after the 30m long waterfall on the highest mountain of Sri Lanka, Pidurutalagala (Mount Pedro) in Nuwara Eliya. This name has evolved from the tale of a long-ago prince and his lover. This prince's subjects rejected him when he fell in love with this beautiful but foreign companion. Imagine the rest of the story...

Uva, on the eastern slopes of the central mountains of Sri Lanka, produces teas with a distinctive mellow flavor whose reputation stretches world wide. Grown 3000 to 5000 feet up on the eastern slopes of Sri Lanka’s central mountains, the best Uva Tea is plucked between June and September. The dry wind that blows towards Uva during this period gives Uva Tea a copper colored infusion with a very smooth, pronounced taste and wonderful aroma which can be enjoyed also as a self drinking tea. Uva is the most famous name among the six main Ceylon Tea producing areas. Uva black Tea, along with Chinese Keemun Tea, Indian Assam Tea and Indian Darjeeling Tea, are seen as the Four Most Famous Black Tea in the world.

Further conversation- Me:
"Hello, it was a pleasure to know your relation to the Luckyland Estate. Many Sri Lankans here are still grateful to Englishmen who developed our tea exports to the whole world. It is one of the major $ income that pays most of our(Sri Lanka) imports, foods and medicines. I had sent you some free tea bags. hope you will enjoy them! God Bless!" Peter charnaud:
"Thank you so much, that’s very kind. I will share it with my father M E Charnaud who was tea planter in charge of Luckyland until 1963, and my brother Paul Charnaud My Grandfather Fred Charnaud started Hugoland estate nearby. He learnt the tea planting trade from Fred Whitall on Luckyland estate but both of them are now long deceased. May I know your good name please? you are most kind - Peter Charnaud”
